Out and About
I always enjoyed being out in nature as a kid. Playing in the dirt, running around in the woods, imagining I was a wizard, camping with my family.
I never thought I would identify as a “hiker”. To me, hiking is not about the length of the trail or the elevation gain; it’s about getting back to my roots, embracing childlike whimsy and wonder, and finding peace in an ever-tumultuous world.
What a gift it is to live on this Earth amongst over 2 million species of plants, animals, and fungi. Among babbling brooks, craggy rocks, thicketed forests, and snow-tipped mountains.
Through this website, I’m excited to share the trails I trek, the parks I check off (in my PA State Parks passport book!), and guidance on beginning your own healing journey with nature. Everyone deserves a breath of fresh air.
I’m based in Pittsburgh, so I will mainly be sharing locations within a few hours of the Steel City, but I hope to expand my horizons and explore farther away when I’m able!
Now, go take a hike!
